Sheffield's Medicine interview process explores more than your academic achievements. It considers how you communicate, understand medical professionalism, approach ethical questions and reflect on your experiences.
Our Sheffield-focused preparation helps you explore the university's published assessment areas through guided discussion, realistic practice and constructive feedback.
Sheffield uses in-person Multiple Mini Interviews for home applicants and online panel interviews for international applicants.
The university publishes eight areas typically covered in its MMI assessments, alongside information about how performance is scored.
International applicants are interviewed online, with dates currently listed as 12–14 January 2027. Follow the arrangements provided in your official invitation.
The application timeline also gives a broader December–January window. The dates above come from the more specific interview section.

THE PUBLISHED MMI SYSTEM
45-point total
Eight MMI section scores + the UCAT SJT score converted to a score out of five.
Applicants scoring at least three in every MMI section and the SJT are prioritised in the ranking process. This does not guarantee an offer.
Both the 2027 A100 admissions policy and 2027 A101 admissions policy describe eight MMI scores plus a converted SJT score. This explanation covers the published MMI system for home applicants; it does not assume identical scoring or eight separate stations for international online panels. A101 has no international places. Follow your route’s invitation.
